Facebook has enjoyed a lot of time at the top of the social media heap. A decade ago, Facebook seemed to appear out of nowhere, clawing its way to the top and unseating internet favorite Myspace. After aggressively redefining the social media network space, it reduced many of its competitors to rubble, and forced many more social media networks to adopt new elements, new directions, new strategies. And now, the word on the wind is that Facebook is dead.
A recent Forbes article has declared Facebook dead on arrival. Apparently, teenagers are signing up for Facebook less and less. The network seems to be falling out of favor of the very group that is often used as a barometer for social media trends. Does this mean Facebook is dead? Is it on its last gasps of air? Is Facebook marketing dead too?
