Google AdWords Scraps Phone Numbers for Ad Text

Google is making a change yet again, but this time is focusing on AdWords. In short, Google is no longer going to allow phone numbers to be used in ad text of new pay-per-click ads for any company. The change will be enacted in April of this year, but Google made the announcement last week in order to give businesses enough time to react. It seems that there are a few things to keep in mind starting in April:

  • Call extensions.
  • Forwarding Numbers.
  • Payment.
  • Measure Conversions.
