Watch out, Siri. Apple’s iPhones and iPads are getting a new talking assistant — and it’s not you!

Google this morning launched a version of Google Now for Apple’s iPhone and iPad. Google moved its year-old predictive personal assistant to iOS as part of its update to its mobile search app.

“Today, with the launch of Google Now on iPhone and iPad, your smartphone will become even smarter,” wrote Andrea Huey, a Google engineer. “It can show you the day’s weather as you get dressed in the morning, or alert you that there’s heavy traffic. It can also share news updates on a story you’ve been following, remind you to leave for the airport so you can make your flight.”
